Acupressure

Acupressure [from Latin acus “needle” (see acuity) + pressure (n.). ] is an alternative medicine technique developed in Tibet before the development of Acupuncture. In acupressure physical pressure is applied to trigger points by the hand, elbow, or with various devices. Traditional Chinese medicine’s (TCM) acupuncture theory predates use of the scientific method, and has received various criticisms based on scientific thinking.
